Once a preferred stopover to and from Europe for many Western travellers, with rapid development and relaxed social laws, Dubai has reinvented its image and established itself as a holiday destination par excellence. Luxury hotels, fabulous restaurants, shopping, adventure and activities galore – you name it, Dubai has it.

Adventures in the desert are now associated with beach fun and surfing, and you can even go skiing in the desert – well, in the huge Mall of the Emirates, where you can visit a remarkable ski resort with all the sensations of the Alps in one convenient place.

Dubai also has some of the best golf courses and hotel complexes in the world as it effortlessly combines sports with restaurants, enjoyment, luxury hotels and business meetings and receptions. So much so that it is developing a reputation as the first golf destination in the world for those who want to combine a golf party with a luxury holiday or a work meeting.

There is no shortage of golf courses in Dubai, with a choice of link styles, desert landscapes and even waterfront parks. Here are nine courses that will make you want to put your golf bag next to your suitcase.

  • Jumeirah Golf Estates

Considered by many to be one of the best courses in the UAE, this Greg Norman-designed course offers big hitters plenty of opportunities to hit long discs over the generous par-fives while providing a challenging challenge for their short game. built in 2010, it is considered a little easier to play than its brother Jumeirah Golf Estate Earth Course and offers excellent backdrops of the park in a desert landscape, with large, sandy zones catch the balls unpredictable and at the same time a nod to some of the provisions that links the United Kingdom and the track, belt sand Australia. The first hole can leave a false sense of security for careless golfers, as the following holes, including the second hole of three over 200 yards (183 meters), can easily undo your score card.

Jumeirah Golf Estates Clubhouse offers a variety of dining options with outdoor terraces to enjoy panoramic views of the golf course. Favorites include the Swirl Bar & Lounge for an after-game drink, and the Flame Tree Restaurant & Grill for excellent cuisine.

There are also a variety of water harmful, including Dubai Bay, which offers spectacular views.
